October 8 -11 Four-day Women’s Retreat

Join in on the fun for a workshop in October, with professional artist Gayle Weisfield. Gayle will introduce you to an innovative style of wet-n-wet watercolor painting, You will spend three days, working with other artists exploring the beauty of Cannon Beach in transparent watercolor. Gayle’s energetic and informative style in watercolor technique will inspire you, as you learn a fresh new approach to watercolor painting.

Retreat  includes:

3 nights lodging, tips and tax

Supply list:

I will have some supplies available for purchase.

• variety of different papers
• tube pigments
• some brushes
• paper stretchers,
  almost everything you will need, to have a fun weekend of painting.

You should bring all your standard painting supplies – whatever you already have in your paint box.

• Do not purchase watercolor pads, for outside sketching
• A blotter, this is a roll of toilet paper rolled inside a thick layer of paper towel
• A pallet, any large white plate is fine, but a large plastic pallet with a lid is best
• A fine spray bottle, for water
• Roll of paper towels
• Pallet knife if you have one
• Pencil and soft eraser
• Sketch book
• 2 large water tubs
• Camera

Discover new directions by learning to paint outside the lines, and beyond the edges of the paper.

This workshop is designed to help creative women discover their muse as well as master basic watercolor technique, composition, and color. Learn to create bolder designs by understanding the importance of shape, value, and edges. Discover new tricks and techniques for mixing glowing whites, great grays, and rich blacks.

We will pull out all the stops, join me in May for some “CPR for the Soul”  at the Edgefield Manor for a fun filled Creative Painting Retreat, in Troutdale. Immerse yourself in a hot water lagoon as well as the artistic experience. Join forces with other artistic women in a focused, stimulating and positive learning experience.

Join Gayle February Creative Painting Retreat

This year give yourself the mid winter break you deserve and some “CPR for the Soul”.
Escape a few gray chilly days in mid February to recharge your creative batteries. 
Lodged in a private cottage, we will spend our days focused on art, watercolor painting, 
and the healing power of creative process. Evenings we’ll set under the palms while
soaking in the saltwater spa, taste fine wines and handcrafted beers, enjoy up scale dinning, 
take in some live music or a movie and spend time with interesting and creative new friends. 
Sound too good to be true? 
Well it isn’t. No passport, no airports and no long commute.

The retreat takes place Monday February 16th to Friday the 20th and includes
4 nights & 5 days, 4 breakfasts, 3 1/2 days instructions and Thursday night party.
